Black Winter

This independent cinematic project, currently in development in Baia Mare, represents a deep exploration of the relationship between movement, image, and emotion.

The choreographic interpretation is adapted to the visual and dramaturgical context of the film, with each movement carefully shaped in relation to the internal rhythm of the scenes and the overall visual aesthetic. The process involved close collaboration with the artistic team — direction and production — to organically integrate dance into the narrative and support the expressive coherence of the entire project.

The choreography was continuously adjusted according to the technical demands of filming, from multiple frames and varied angles to the need for continuity and precision in execution. In this context, movement becomes not only a visual element, but an essential tool in building tension and emotional depth.

The film explores universal themes such as human fragility, the need for connection, and the strength of faith in a world that can sometimes feel devoid of meaning. For me, this project has been a unique experience — an encounter with people and energies that gave rise to an authentic creative space. It was a reminder that before becoming “no one,” one must have been “someone,” and that the invisible world of emotions and meaning is just as real as the visible one.

Beyond the artistic process, this project speaks about the power of “togetherness” — a profound force capable of creating meaning, connection, and community. Such initiatives become not only artistic expressions, but real necessities in a context where closeness and authenticity hold an increasingly important value.
